Never mind that his employer made the decision, but the point seemed to be to keep the narrative as simple as possible to paint her as evil. But even now knowing of those threats, you continue to trivialize her circumstances. If you don't care about EEOC laws and instead trivialize a woman's basic right to be safe from rape and violence, how can you possibly be my ally? We obviously have very different understanding of what progressive means. For me it is centered on a belief in human equality and the sanctity of human life over property, privilege, and gun proliferation. Those are core areas on which we do not agree. You assert you are an ally, yet I don't see you support the issues I care most about.
I didn't see the other thread with the abortion image. The difference might have been the poster took time to explain the context, but I'm only speculating. It could also have been down to something as simple as the particular jury pool. I can't imagine what would possess any "progressive" to post such a thing.
