The video clip of the woman professor at Emory being thrown to the ground MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL [View all]
I have no idea who was protesting what. For this post, that information has fuck all to do with why I'm pissed.
The woman is a college professor who is thrown to the ground by militarized cops, jumped on by a second cop who probably outweighed her by 100 pounds. The cops yelling and screaming and terrifying the woman. At the edge of the frame is a cop in combat gear with a big automatic rifle.
After seeing this video a few times, it dawned on me. My wife, Sparkly, is an adjunct college instructor and staff member. The woman in the video bears a vague resemblance to her. Her reaction was what I can imagine Sparkly might do.
I've never been triggered by a news story.
