24. Dems told Dems to step down

As a NH State Rep, 8 years ago, we tried to codify a woman's right to bodily autonomy into law.

We were told by the long-term Reps that a bill would cause all kinds of problems for Dems who were religious and having to defend the bill when they would run again would be very difficult. Like don't upset the applecart.
and then there is this

My State Rep tried again, this is where it went

SB 461--to remove the statement in our laws that says nothing guarantees the right to an abortion was amended by the Senate Republicans in a very bad, no good, terrible way.

The bill now requires medical providers to report every abortion on a variety of measure and--unbelievably--does not prohibit the release of the patient's identity to the department of health and human services. It also contains a backdoor requirement for invasive, expensive transvaginal ultrasounds for every abortion. I always say, "I've had children; nothing shocks me," but this truly does.

They're simply evil.
I've literally heard some progressives... Happy Hoosier Apr 25 #1
