Bipartisanship as it was once known is essentially unworkable, particularly when the party cannot get past it's own deep division between conservatives and far right extremists who refuse to budge from radical stances on virtually every legislative issue. Hence, they have become incapable of governance. With a threadbare dysfunctional majority in the House, the war that Johnson alludes to is not winnable from within his own party. They need to be sent packing by way of the ballot box. Hopefully enough of the electorate will take notice of the real-time dumpster fire and summarily dismiss the perpetrators who are fueling it.
