WI: Recall group seeks more time to respond to Vos (R) challenge [View all]
The group seeking to recall Robin Vos asked a Dane County Court for more time to respond to the challenge filed by the GOP Assembly speaker, who wants the effort dismissed.
Recall proponents faced a deadline Tuesday to respond to Vos’ challenge. But the petition argues they can’t answer his allegations until they know which district lines should be in place for the recall.
They want a delay until five days after the state Supreme Court rules on pending motions seeking an answer to that question.
Vos’ challenge, filed last week, argued the recall petition is short of the signatures needed, regardless of which lines are used, and is rife with fraud, among other things.
