(16,139 posts)22. Also, I recall while door to door canvassing
prior to the 2020 election. We came across registered Democrats (three women) all of whom said a version of 'yes, I'm planning to vote, but you have to leave my husband can't know'....they seemed truly fearful. Different days, different neighborhoods.
After the third one, DH said he can't bear to do canvassing anymore, because he's afraid that someone will get hurt and it will be our fault for showing up at the door.
