(9,197 posts)I know what they said on the stand, but watching Ashleigh Merchant's testimony before the Georgia senate, I believe her account of events. That Bradley just started babbling about it all to her while they were chilling in court one day.
But what cinched it for me was Yearty. She was Willis' best friend - Willis lived in her condo, Yearty was Willis' hair and make-up person for media events. They were close. And Yearty did not want to testify. She fought it. She did not voluntarily come forward - she was subpoenaed. Bradley gave her up. And if you watched her testimony, that was the look of a woman who did not want to be there. The cell phone stuff was just the cherry on top for me.
Sure, the judge has to see things very narrowly - as is right and proper - and rule within strict bounds. But I think the average person can look at the totality of the situation and see it's pretty obvious it did not begin when they said.
Edit: Just got to the part of the ruling where the judge says as much - "Yet reasonable questions about whether the District Attorney and her hand-selected lead SADA testified untruthfully about the timing of their relationship further underpin the finding of an appearance of impropriety and the need to make proportional efforts to cure it."
