Besides claiming in 2020 that the pandemic would be over in the Spring when things warmed up, he reported internet memes about unproved (and useless) treatments for Covid 19. In 2021 he claimed that people who wore masks in public were just trying to make him look bad. He rejected the advice about Covid from Dr. Fauci and later bragged about ignoring everything he said. Some might call this criminal incompetence.
