(49,122 posts)will give those actors the same amount they would have been paid if they had acted in a regular film, based on estimated days of work. So the studios/streamers won't be saving there.
OTOH, they won't need to pay for cinematographers, set designers, costume designers, makeup artists, expensive locatios, etc. So a lot of costs will be cut.
I just have no idea how the studios and streamers plan to market this, when it is fake acting by replicas.
They might be planning to try to create two-tier film pricing. Much higher prices for real actors doing real acting in real settings. With AI the only affordable option for many people.
We just don't know yet.
I do know they're looking forward to being able to use actors' AI replicas after the actors are deceased, so a star of a franchise can continue to star in it for as long as any audience is interested.
