The real problem with Joe Biden's age is that she's black.

47. Of course both sexism and racism are factors across party lines.

We, Democrats and independents, did elect our first Black president. That speaks for itself. And then we
elected our first woman and Black vice-president, sexism and racism in the party withstanding.

While Biden is the oldest person to be elected president, we have yet to elect our first octogenarian to the
office. Biden's age has brought agism, front and center, as the least appreciated ism in our culture.

And agism definitely exists in a party that is dependent to a large extent on younger voters.
Voters who may be quick to call out others for the many other isms while not recognizing their
own prejudices toward older people.
