Panic at DU, it's unbelievable. [View all]

Garland was just on MSNBC. He said the appointment of the special prosecutor will NOT slow the investigations in any way. The investigations are not starting over. They are moving forward.

Garland also said Trump announcing he is now a candidate for president led him to appoint a special counsel.

It all sounds reasonable to me. Garland is not punting, passing the buck, chickening out. He appointed an experienced prosecutor who now works at the Hague to oversee the investigations and all the evidence they have already collected.
