(1,182 posts)just look at the underlying presumptions in the "ideological subversion" tactics, apparently so successful with Conservatives that they MUST agree on every point --that the so-called "decline" of the "West" is caused by social and moral failure. That it's not just about money and power and avarice and lust and corruption, regardless of the ideological bent of the participants.
The "moral failures" of the Left are seen as the means of subversion in this view. But the objective, we are supposed to believe, is to subvert the Right, which is what we all are expressing here. Yet the Right has never needed such subversion, as they already agree with every single point.
In other words, this entire "artifact" is simply another "tactic" to undermine the more egalitarian Left. Those ancient amassed treasures that built empires and enslaved half the world never really fell. They just transmogrified into worse --the twin ideologies of Capitalism vs. Communism. Both were a ruse.
The "thimble on the table" has always been in full view: Democracy is what they most fear.
