(13,446 posts)For some, yes they are in a bad situation not of their own doing. However, they are fixated on revenge and remedies aimed at the wrong people. Immigrants and minorities are not the cause of their problems. Nor are city dwellers or unions or most Democrats. Instead, they need to be casting their blame at Republicans, the ultra-wealthy, Wall Street, corporations and everyoneeverything else that has wrecked rural economies in this country in pursuit of profits, race wars and religious extremism.
Unfortunately they will never learn that lesson and instead they will double down on the nonstop propaganda flowing to them from Fox, similar media, their puppets along with racists and religious leaders who are anything but Christian.
Let's not kid ourselves, this country has a very bleak future on its horizon. There is no way to turn this ship around and avoid the dangers ahead. It's simply a matter of how high the body count will be along with who/what remains when it finally does end.
