(5,446 posts)regardless of consequences, 3) Propaganda network with the most effective modern communication tools in history is in place to influence the masses. 4) Huge numbers of Americans can not distinguish facts from fiction and lies, or believe there is no fundamental difference. 5) Inherent social divisions based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual identity, geography etc due to historical trends and various forms of insecurity are prevalent and easily exploitable though the propaganda tools mentioned.
These factors are some of those needed to create fascism in America. What we have now is a toxic brew-- Trump's election was a turning point as he really is a wannabe fascist. Not only does he remain a danger due to his popularity with 30-40% of Americans, but he casts a large shadow over the GOP. Not only that he has provided a roadmap for any other GOP politician, who is ruthless enough to drive the USA towards fascism.
