There's a belief that Democrats could easily stop all the bad things Republicans do but they don't want to because they're beholden to wealthy donors, corporations, lobbyists, billionaires -- bribed, corrupt, and have the same economic policies as Republicans. They're just trying to fool us with their social policies. For the last forty years they've shifted to the Right and ignored the working/middle class/unions because all they care about is money (status quo means money in politics, the root of all government dysfunction -- ignore Republicans).
The belief that Democrats were shocked by the idea of universal health care, higher minimum wage, combating climate change, taxing the wealthy and corporations, economic equality, affordable education -- classic Democratic polices. They had never heard of these things and thought them impossible and radical! (Bernie has said this many, many times, like during a Rachel Maddow interview 7/10/19: "'Health care as a human right? Oh, Bernie, that's not -- that's un-American. Nobody in America believes that!'" -- a surprise to Democrats who've said for decades that health care is a human right -- Hillary's try in 1993 for universal health care, the Democrats who introduced Medicare for All bills for years, the ACA).
The belief that Democrats are the true roadblock to progress, as Michael Moore said. Always assume bad intentions and inaction when it comes to Democrats. They cannot be progressive without being "pulled" or "pushed" by True Progressives ("progressive" means anti-establishment with the establishment being the Democratic Establishment). This is a rule. Republican are innocents suffering from economic insecurity caused by neoliberal Democratic policies. Trump voters are just waiting for a true progressive utopian savior to vote for because they're secretly democratic socialists who will join the rest of the 99% in solidarity against the 1% in the class revolution. That's the ideology.
