Never forget the more than a half million of our fellow Americans who have passed on from this deadly virus. And do not forget the incompetence of our leaders at the time or the complicity of political partisans.
And do not forget those that divided our people during the middle of a pandemic, by calling it a hoax and encouraging people not to wear their masks, as if it were some sort of imposition on their freedom, when we needed to be united against the common enemy.
And never forget the scofflaws that refused to follow the laws and the norms of a civilized society, as they refused subpoenas from our Congress, and put themselves above the laws of our nation. Never forget who they are?
And never forget those that marched into our Capitol, in a rage of discontent, and destroyed and desecrated the symbol of our democracy. It cannot be forgotten. It must be branded into our consciousness. We must never forget.
