I'm really terrified about this election.

I'm terrified for my community, and the possibility of violence.

I'm terrified for my social security and the possibility of poverty.

Oddly, I do not share my fears much outside of DU. I had hoped that this was a safe space. I would never want to discourage anyone from voting.

It never occurs to me that gloom/doom depresses turn-out, because I am the kind of person who is motivated by it. Maybe I'm just wired differently.
