Wisconsin Democrats needed a fundraising boost. And the message from the original cast of "The Princess Bride"? As you wish.
More than 100,000 people donated at least $1 to tune into "A Virtual Princess Bride Reunion" on Sunday night, making the online event an inconceivable fundraising win for Wisconsin Democrats.
"Tonight's once-in-a-lifetime Princess Bride reunion changes the odds on who wins Wisconsin," said Ben Wikler, chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. "This is by a mile the biggest grassroots fundraiser that we have ever had."
Wikler added that "chipping in to register for tonight, and post signing up to volunteer tonight, can make the difference between the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration, and another four years of the Trump nightmare."

So they got a million dollars if the average donation was $10. It will be interesting to see how much they raised. Also, it's possible people donated and didn't watch it.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun.

OP
Rob Reiner mimicked Falk's voice almost exactly, when he played the grandfather reading to the kid.

I often think of Indyo saying "you keep using that word..." when I listen to Trumpers

I watched it. It was brilliant. I hope some other films or tv shows do a fundraiser like this.

I think they said it was a one shot deal. I hope they change their minds. It was such fun.

I can't remember the actor's name, but the guy who took Andre's part did an outstanding job of it.

Thank you! He wasn't familiar to me, and I really wanted to look him up afterwards.
