22. October is a little on the late side. Absentee/mail-in ballots go out to voters in early October.

Give us the best by mid-September at the latest, so everyone can chew on it, absorb what they don't vomit, then vote.

Of course, many of us could vote today - we know wayyyyyy too much, more than we ever wanted to know.
