Trump is making a show of force in American cities. It gives his thugs an opportunity to instigate violence that Trump can blame on protesters, claiming that they sre a threat to the nation that he needs to save us from. Nixon tried the same thing with anti war protesters (minus the armed troops) by putting agents at the protests to instigate violence.
