6. i think they're "meh about covid" because it's part of the plan to get re-elected

too soon for their actions to have maximum electoral impact so they're stalling now

they play around with it, sow chaos and confusion, let things happen randomly for a month or two more with no definitive plan. they want it to be a really shitty mess.

then BLAM in September they crank it up bigly with a bunch of mask and distancing ordinance demands. then in October they roll out a "vaccine" -- maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, but they'll tell us it's safe and effective regardless. publicly-available death counts and positive test rates will be adjusted accordingly.

that way they can roll into November on an ad base of "great leadership" and "best ever victories" and "aren't you grateful for the precious vaccine?"

that's how i see it playing out.
