3. Millions of dead or incapacitated people will also pretty much stop an economy.

If people keep getting sick and dying or become unable to work, then we have no producers and as everyone has said, no consumers. There aren't really "surplus" unemployed people who would willingly risk their lives for low wages. Especially in critical sectors like trucking, people running power plants, firefighters, nurses and doctors, etc... If we see a spike in deaths or disability in sectors that require special training or certification, then we are going to be in major trouble. I suspect our meat supply is going to really start having problems in the next month or two.



The thing about Republicans however is while ideologically, they play the long game (which for them is to reinstate a rigid hierarchy based on race, religion, and wealth), they are currently playing short ball. They want to just win this next election, then they have 2 to 4 years to further implement policies to hollow out the economy and shift the gains permanently to the wealthy.
