20. I've been a Maher fan for two decades

I’ve seen him live multiple times and have kept my HBO subscription largely because of his show.

However, it’s become clear to me that Bill is sort of a shadow of what he once was. His opinions are often uninformed. He consistently uses outdated polling data anytime that subject comes up. He has flogged this Trump won’t leave paranoia for 3 years despite being told by literally dozens of guests that it won’t happen yet he won’t take no for an answer.

He’s increasingly gotten more bitter over the virus I suspect because a huge portion of his income has dried up and will likely be gone for a long time.


The never ending drum beat of how the “Democrats are doing it wrong” has become tiresome. And bizarrely every one of his recent shows has ended with a 15 minute diatribe about how fat people are making corona worse and how his diet is great and everyone else is a slob. There is usually some health “expert” on to assist in the g
fat shaming.

So yeah, I think like a lot of people who stayed too long Bill has lost his fastball and really isn’t worth listening to anymore. I’m done.
