"a lot of escalation. cops started beating and pepper spraying peaceful protests, so protestors responded by setting the park on fire, and flipping and setting ablaze empty cop cars."

He sent me a clip of the demonstrators walking within 1 block of his apt. They were peaceful, all wearing masks, chanting "George Floyd." It touched me.



(Hates cops btw, especially those in Baltimore - has a long list of complaints with them.)
