It Occurs to Me That Trump Supporters Are More Likely [View all]

to become victims of the Coronavirus than those who do not support Trump. They are more likely to flaunt social distancing guidelines, from what I have seen. One Trump supporter on my block actually had a party at his house yesterday evening. Fundamenalist churches and even so-called Christian colleges are ignoring suggestions and even orders not to hold large gatherings.

Meanwhile, everyone I know who is a Democrat is carefully staying home if not part of an essential business. They are not out socializing or flaunting safety recommendations. Instead, they are doing what is being said about how to avoid infection and spread of this dangerous virus.

Democratic Governors, too, are more rapidly instituting statewide orders that shut down nonessential businesses and organizations, while Republican leaders follow Trump's lead and avoid giving such direction to their states until they are forced to by reality.

It appears that the same types of people who refuse to vaccinate their children are the ones buying up all the toilet paper and ignoring guidelines. They're investing in guns and ammunition instead of in their families' safety and well-being.

Once again, Trump supporters are demonstrating their lack of common sense, which is less common among them that among those who think before acting. Trump, in his ignorance and willful disregard for expert advice, is giving his followers advice that might kill them

Isn't that ironic?
