22. Oppo Research

Oppo research is short for opposition research. It is the practice of researching your political opponent to find things in their past that can discredit or weaken them. Beyond that, most candidates considering a run will have oppo research done on them to see what is out there so they can be ready if their opponents try to use it against them.
Probably the most famous case of oppo research was The Arkansas Project that the right ran against Bill Clinton both when he was a candidate and later president.
