(1,336 posts)I've never lived in the US (but did live in England many years ago). Where I live now, I can see Fort Niagara in Youngstown NY from my back deck. But after the election in 2016, I vowed never to cross the Niagara River until that "thing" is no longer in the White House.
I don't know any Canadians who think he deserves to be President, but perhaps it's because I only know good and decent and kind people! I listen to and support the local NPR station (Buffalo), not just because I enjoy the programming but also because I'm fearful that it might one day be axed by the philistines.
I have many friends and relatives who are American. ALL the friends are Democrat; sadly some of the relatives are not. One can only hope they will see the light sooner rather than later.
Bernardo is absolutely right: this site is a super comfy place to hang out. I'm so glad you let me in.
