Communications is a tough field to break into. It's very hard to get a break.

It's no secret that an easy path to success in media is to be a r-w commentator. The money is good because it's put up by corporations. A lot of times the training path is through the r-w think tanks. A lot of people, women included--sad to say--see no farther than their own personal welfare.
