I have noticed that some of the replies indicate a potential ignore-ance. Firstly, about just how pervasive and insidious the Koch agenda has been in this country and how negatively it has and will impact us all. So, when people wonder what's up with the harsh comments or schadenfreude it does have a background.
Secondly, they don't factor in the benefits of an expertly executed philanthropy machine in regards to public relations as a form of propaganda, regardless of its apparent feel good intent. When you have billions, you can do all kinds of things that appear to be generous and upright and that's all well and good, until you dig into the whole pile of dirt and see what they were really up to. ALEC is only one example. The Kochs can be said to be a monster with a mask.
That kind of power, influence and meddling, (the Kochtapus) steps way, way over the line and is an offense to our democracy, (or what we have of it). Who said they should have so much sway over our politics?
For that, there is nothing noble and honorable about their efforts and intents at least in regards to our union and benefit as a people. Unfortunately, their family, corporations, organizations and front groups are cemented in place and will continue to live in infamy.
