First, she didn't "take impeachment off the table.""
Second, Pelosi and the Dems are going about this the right way.
If they filed Articles of Impeachment today, they would be based solely on the information in the Mueller report. No Emoluments. No tax returns. No money laundering. Just the Mueller Report. And the inquiry would be, not what else Trump has done wrong, but whether the information in the Mueller Report rises to the level of a high crime or misdemeanor. We already know where everyone stands on this. And the impeachment inquiry would pretty much shut down any other investigations by other committees into any other crimes or misdemeanors Trump has engaged in because they would not be subject of the impeachment inquiry, which would be limited to the allegations in the Articles of Impeachment.
The only appropriate way to proceed is for the various committees in the House to continue their investigations, hold public hearings through which the American people can hear from Mueller, McGahan, et al and watch Donnie, Jr., Priebus, Kelly, Mnuchin, Miller and other assorted co-consipirators testify under oath and get raked over the coals. In short order, the public will see exactly how corrupt and craven this administration is and THEN the Judiciary Committee can draft Articles of Impeachment that encompass the broad range of crimes Trump has engaged in.
And if, despite the public pressure and the damning public record, the Republicans refuse to convict him in the Senate, it will be all on them.
