3. Yes, I noticed LOTS of comments hinting at that

Like many comments saying that this was a symbol of our times, declining Europe and declining Christianity and basically we're all headed for a terrible future (for reasons that weren't mentioned but guess what... They probably had "White Genocide" / "The Great Replacement" in mind).

Some even went as far as saying that this reminds them of 9/11 and they're feeling just as shocked because of it. I mean, what's thousands of dead people compared to a burning church?

Lots of very emotional comments hinting at things ("lots of attacks on churches in France in recent times" ), and casting doubt on other things ("no fire in 650 years, why now?" ).

But there were some similarly speculative comments going in the opposite direction, speculating that right-wing extremists who are part of the yellow vests movement started the fire.

Obviously any speculation could still turn out to be true, since the investigation is still ongoing. But maybe everyone should simply wait until the investigation is completed and stop utilizing this fire for their own political agenda.
