In reply to the discussion: What's everybody's favorite Thanksgiving food? [View all]ProudMNDemocrat
(16,847 posts)58. My Greene Beanie Cassarole......
2 -2lb. Packages of frozen French Cut Green Beans
3 regular cans of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup (fat-free will do as well)
1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp. Low sodium Soy Sauce
1 can of the larger sized French Fried Onions....the other can for the topping
Combine all the ingredients in a baking dish. Bake at 350 ° F for 50 minutes. Take out and add the other can of Fried Onions for the topping. Bake for another 5 minutes until topping is golden brown. Let set for 5 minutes before serving.
You will swear you have died and gone to heaven. It is not Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner without this side dish in my family.
