1.) Education: Yes, the education issue is where the Latter Day Saints have overplayed their hand and it is what is fueling the backlash here. Mainstream national media would have you believe that people here are greatly concerned about "illegal immigrants," which is a load of crap that's spewed by LDS politicians and their parishioners as a propaganda ploy to "look over there, but don't look in your own backyard at what's going on in your kids' schools."
Everyone here knows that illegal border crossings are at their lowest rates of all time because of the infusion of money from the Obama administration for technology enforcement tools years ago. The current kids in cages at the Arizona border are primarily those who were separated from their families when their parents attempted to legally file asylum claims at border crossing offices.
2.) International Air Response location: LOL! You're right, tRump wouldn't be caught dead here under any other circumstance!
3.) Mesa Police Department: The reason the ACLU is urging restraint by the Mesa Police is because of protests sparked this past summer when body-cam footage came out showing Mesa police officers beating up on black people. Most of the rank-and-file of the Mesa Police are LDS members.
4.) Andy Biggs: Yes, do keep an eye on Andy Biggs. I've been saying for 2 years that he is by far the most dangerous man in Congress today. When he does eventually make his move, Mitt Romney, Mike Lee, and a by-then retired Orrin Hatch will be his biggest supporters.
In an interesting side-note that I didn't mention in the article, a few years back Andy Biggs' son (formerly a Gilbert police officer) shot a Hispanic man in a Walmart parking lot while off-duty. Because they benched Biggs (the son) while investigating the incident, he had a hissy-fit about it, refused to answer questions, quit his job claiming he was pushed out, and then used daddy's money to sue the Gilbert Police Department, its chief, and others working in the department for millions of dollars. I'll have to look up whatever came of those court proceedings. It's not the type of thing that's allowed to be reported on here.
