They are impacting patient care.
The majority of the issue is that many pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing plants are in Puerto Rico. Draw your own conclusions about the shortages starting there.
I wasnt aware of this initially until we had to start allocating IV fluids, IV meds, etc.
I dont know why this isnt playing on a nonstop loop on TV due to the national shortages.

For the shingles shot, I think the problem is that this is a relatively new shingles vaccine
