We had 100,000 people out in the rain last year. Essentially nothing this year. I guess there is an impeachment march also occurring, but that whole thought is a dead end. He won't be impeached anytime soon, much less at the insistence of scattershot "protests".
My wife tried to get involved directly last year, but all the discussion devolved into whose voice was more important-white, black, hispanic? Any momentum gained was lost before last year's event went down. Any supposed Unity was blown out by simply not being able to get along for the benefit of all. Just arguing whose voice needed amplified more. Shame.
I realize, as whites, our plight is better than others. It's still not great and we face frustrations and shortcomings, just like any normal person. The point is we are all fighting to survive against a steady stream of hate and manipulation. We're all poor, we're all sick, we're all family. We should be helping each other instead of tearing at each other about who needs lifting up first.
I think humanity as a whole needs to be lifted up.
