7. At the Federal level, impeachment is probably on the only recourse

An attempt to indict Trump for perjury in a Federal court will almost certainly end up before a Federal judge and depending on how it plays out would go to SCOTUS.

At the state level I see no reason why Trump could not be indicted, however this to would end up before SCOTUS as well.

As it stands now, NO president can be removed from office EXCEPT through impeachment & conviction in Congress or via the 25th Amendment.
