'The Authority is Total':Trump claims he has power to decide when state reopen

Source: Washington Examiner

Trump made the remarks at a White House news conference on Monday, which reiterated tweets from him earlier in the day in which he said that reopening states was not up to governors but “is the decision of the president.”

“The president of the United States has the authority to do what the president has the authority to do, which is very powerful. The president of the United States calls the shots,” Trump said. "If we weren’t here for the states, you would’ve had a problem in this country like you’ve never seen before.

“It’s a decision for the president of the United States. Now with that being said, we’re going to work with the states because it’s very important,” he added but emphasized that “they can’t do anything without the approval of the president of the United States.”

“When somebody is the president of the United States, the authority is total, and that's the way it's got to be. It’s total, and the governors know that,” Trump said during the news conference.

The Sad Irony. The Air.

Work ceases, pollution decreases and skies become clear around the world just as we must don masks to protect ourselves from the breath of our neighbors.

I Will Not Watch the Flimflam Man

His updates are just verbal spam

I will not watch him from my chair

I will not watch him anywhere

He's got so many lies to speak

Enough to last for weeks and weeks

Someday he'll be part of the past

Then we'll sing together

Free of him at last

Farmers Dumping Food Even as Global Shortages Predicted

Why? We weren't prepared to handle the virus calamity and it looks like the same is happening with the food supply.

Restaurants and schools are closed so the food isn't being consumed right now. Why not process the food and store it for when supplies run short instead of subsidizing farmers to destroy it even as children go hungry here and around the world?

This piece discusses the dumping of billions, make that $BILLIONS of dollars worth of food.

Food Bank Shortages are a big concern with people out of work due to the CoronaVirus. Burying life sustaining food sources seems horribly short sighted. Horribly short sighted doesn't really describe it. It's appalling.

Study Reveals Potential Serious Cardiac Issues Related to Trump's Cure-All Hydroxychloroquine

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29858838

Note: These were not cases of Covid-19 but a study of the outcomes of treatments using Hydroxychloroquine and Chloroquine on various patients done in 2017

Snip-
"RESULTS:
Eighty-six articles were identified, reporting individual cases or short series, providing information on 127 patients (65.4% female). A majority of patients were treated with chloroquine (58.3%), with the remaining treated with hydroxychloroquine (39.4%), or both in succession. Most patients had been treated for a long time (median 7 years, minimum 3 days; maximum 35 years) and with a high cumulative dose (median 1235 g for hydroxychloroquine and 803 g for chloroquine). Conduction disorders were the main side effect reported, affecting 85% of patients. Other non-specific adverse cardiac events included ventricular hypertrophy (22%), hypokinesia (9.4%), heart failure (26.8%), pulmonary arterial hypertension (3.9%), and valvular dysfunction (7.1%). For 78 patients reported to have been withdrawn from treatment, some recovered normal heart function (44.9%), while for others progression was unfavorable, resulting in irreversible damage (12.9%) or death (30.8%)."

Who Has No Experience in Pandemics, Got His Job Due to Nepotism, Security Clearance is a Sham

Yet appears to be the one who makes life and death decisions about where Covid-19 Supplies are delivered.

"We are troubled by reports that Mr. Kushner's actions — and those of outside advisers he has assembled and tasked — may be 'circumventing protocols that ensure all states' requests are handled appropriately,'" they wrote. "We are particularly troubled that Mr. Kushner's work may even involve 'directing FEMA and HHS officials to prioritize specific requests from people who are able to get Kushner on the phone." - Lawmakers

We Tend to Focus on the News Hog Liar King because, well, if news coverage was toilet paper he'd be

wrapped up in it like a mummy.

We need to see the heroes. We need to be reminded that there's lots of good in the world. Spectacular good in the every day acts of kind people and good leaders.
Amazing humans willing to give it all they've got because good matters.
We need to highlight the encouragers, the healers, the ones who make us laugh and the ones who warm our hearts. There are millions and millions of fantastic human beings going about their lives making the world better just for being here.

We don't know what tomorrow will bring. Even in the best of times, we don't really know. I want to live every day as a true human being, not a cheap imposter whose agenda is to make people believe that down is up and up is down. Being good at gaslighting doesn't make him an expert at anything else.

This too shall pass. We will pay a price. But it will pass. Look for the good.

America's "Wild West" tactics leave allies without needed medical supplies

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/allies-complain-u-s-wild-west-tactics-1.5522517

"Snip -

From Europe to South America, U.S. allies are complaining about the superpower's "Wild West" tactics in outbidding or blocking shipments to buyers who have already signed deals for vital medical supplies.

In France and Germany, senior officials said the United States was paying far above the market price for medical-grade masks, on occasion winning contracts through higher bids even after European buyers believed a deal was done, and Brazil's health minister reported a similar incident.

"Money is irrelevant. They pay any price because they are desperate," one high-level official in German Chancellor Angela Merkel's ruling CDU/CSU group told Reuters."
---
Why is he buying up the world's medical supplies but getting mad at the governors for requesting them for dying people and for health care workers?

Why are businesses breaking contracts for him and leaving others in the world vulnerable?
The world is going to hate us when this is over.
