If detention conditions at the border are bad

shouldn't this be freely shown and discussed? Seems like it could be used to shame self-righteous Republicans into spending the money necessary to fund immediate improvements.

Always answer "border crisis" questions this way.

These asylum seekers are fleeing countries which have been flooded with guns and ammunition originating in the USA.

Our value system here in the USA places a high priority on the abundance of guns and ammunition.

The consequence of such abundance of arms is rampant violence and criminality throughout our hemisphere for which we must bear the blame.

When populations flee the threat of violence in their own countries due to a problem we have created, we have a moral obligation to grant them asylum.

It is the cost of freedom, and a cost which we as a nation have bargained for.

The 1776 Commission Report reads like you would expect.

Based upon whom Trump appointed to his 1776 Commission, the report which they issued today reads like a guide to the American conservative mind.

I don't think it necessarily needs to be deleted and forgotten.

Perhaps just properly disclaimed as the narrow point of view of the people who authored it, and not as some official perspective of the United States government.

(I don't actually know if it was grudging. Maybe it's just caution. But their updates sure lag the AP.)

Anyone nominated in the current environment

would surely feel such personal peril that the honor of being nominated would be eclipsed by the terror of it.

Can I get Keith Olbermann back now?

Or does ESPN have him under contract for the foreseeable future?
