Employers do not actually pay anything towards the workers medical insurance.

Employers figure out how much they can pay a worker. That is the gross amount. Then they subtract everything they have to pay for having that worker work for them. What is left is what they pay their worker hourly or a salary. Simple, let's say that an employer can afford to pay a worker $18/hour. The employer's cost except pay is $6/hour. The worker is then paid $12/hour. That is a very simplified example, but I think I got it right.

Macy's July 4th will start at 8 on NBC WITN on Dish and probably others.

Bloomberg.com will stream The Boston Pops starting at 8. The only price I can find is $20,000/year. If anyone can find another way of not watching Trump but watching July 4th please post.

Thank you

I find many of the posts interesting and I do learn from them.

Yes, she has not had her day in court.

So let me change that to if she is found guilty of attacking the other woman and in doing so she put her condition in great risk and the fetus was killed because of her actions I hope she never has a child. I am an independent who has voted for Democrats about 95% of the time and Republicans about 5% of the time but the last time was for Mass. Senator Ed Brooke. Please explain to me how my post had anything to do with party affiliation. I have vascular dementia and write the best I can.

No, I'm 76. I was army 63-67.

We moved here because we had nephews that were Marines at LeJeune and now we have grand-nephews stationed there when they aren't deployed. This is really a good place to live if you are a veteran. I used to wear my DAV cap when we ate out but stopped. It got embarrassing asking for the check and finding out that some Marine had already paid it. We try to treat them, especially when you see a family and you can tell the ones that just got home. I know it shouldn't make a difference but it does bother me more to see a female veteran wearing prosthetics. The best thing about living here is I have a disabled veteran's plate on my car. I have never got a ticket yet and that includes the time I went through the old town at 65 MPH in a 15 MPH zone. Before the town cop could say anything I told him and I told him the truth that I had just left the VA clinic and had to go to the VA office. He told me that the office was down 2 blocks on the left so I should slow down. Really, a veteran especially one with problems should live in a military town. We help each other. I saw a veteran with a service dog and a t-shirt that basically said to leave him alone. I walked up to him and told him that I had gotten out of Fayetteville, meaning the psych ward at the VA hospital, the day before. He understood what I meant and we shook hands and sat and talked for a while. It was good for both of us. Wasn't the same when I lived in Boston or Miami. Okay, that's enough crying in my beer.

When I eat out I only go to four places in Jacksonville NC.

Waffle House because of their omelet fiesta with extra jalapeno peppers and scatter with everything and the waitresses hug us and we can talk about our chickens. Logans for a rare ribeye steak. Angie's Family Restaurant for liver and onions. El Mariachi's for the Burrito California with the best cheese sauce and their hot green salsa. I don't go to restaurants that serve good food, I want great food otherwise I can eat my wife's cooking.

I hope that people reading my post don't think I am happy about what happened.

I just hope that the bullet also makes her unable to have a child.

The person with the weapon

was being attacked by the pregnant woman. Another person tried to stop the attack but the pregnant woman continued. The woman with the weapon protected herself. If a person attacks me I shoot them, but then I'm a 76-year-old disabled veteran.

The hospital will bill VA.

That said, if they don't bill the VA and sends you a bill, call them and tell them they have to bill the VA. If they tell you that you have to pay and then they will bill the VA and send you your money back, tell them that is against federal law. I have no idea if that is true or not, but most companies do not want to take a chance. Of course, there is one company out there that won't, Alcoa Billing Center, but every time I get a bill from them I call them and tell them they have to bill the VA. I write down the name of the person I spoke to, date and time. Sometimes it can take a year but they finally do it. Now if a company sends a bill and the VA denies it you have to appeal. Write down why you went to the hospital. They will deny the claim. Now you write to them and tell them you are appealing and insist that they give your claim to a doctor who specializes in why you went to the hospital. I can't tell you what happens when you speak to the doctor since in about the 12 times this has happened I never spoke to their doctor and every claim I made was approved. It can take time, but in the 24 years I have been using the VA, I have never had to pay. One other thing. If the VA pays a claim you should get a monthly letter showing all payments made that month. The reason for you to keep them is in the past I have received the letter showing who was paid but later will receive a letter from another company that did something different but was not paid. I send them a copy of the VA letter showing them that they should be paid also. If anyone else has any ideas on this please post it.

I can find many places in The Constitution which says who can vote.

Who, what and where but not anything about voting districts and how they are made. I think that will take a Constitutional Amendment. Even then how would it work? Would The Supreme Court rule on every voting district in the country that someone brings to court? Just my opinion, I haven't any knowledge of the law on this matter.
