'If anything happens to me, it's not suicide,' dead Boeing whistleblower to friend.

'If anything happens to me, it’s not suicide,’ friend of dead Boeing whistleblower says he told her

Story by Elizabeth Blackstock
Jalopnik, March 15, 2024

John Barnett, 62, was in the process of testifying against the Boeing Company regarding the aircraft manufacturer’s manufacturing processes when he was found dead in South Carolina with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Now, though, a family friend of Barnett’s says that, before he died, he warned her that if he were found dead, it would not be the result of a suicide.

Jennifer, who did not share her surname, spoke to local ABC news affiliate WPDE about a concerning conversation she says she had with Barnett. She alleges that Barnett came by to visit her when she needed help, and they began to speak about his upcoming deposition in Charleston, South Carolina.

“He wasn’t concerned about safety because I asked him,” Jennifer told WPDE. “I said, ‘Aren’t you scared?’ And he said, ‘No, I ain’t scared, but if anything happens to me, it’s not suicide.’”

Barnett was staying in a Holiday Inn in Charleston ahead of his deposition; when his lawyers were unable to contact Barnett, they called in a wellness check, according to police reports obtained by the New York Post. A hotel staff member found Barnett’s body in his pickup truck; he was holding a silver pistol in his hand and appeared to have died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

McCaskill Suggests White House Deny Intel Brief to the Sick Fuck.

And should Demented Donnie complain, former United States Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) added that Putin's Puppet can, "Pound sand!" She was on Nicole Wallace's Deadline White House program.

Making a stink out of denying Trump access to the Intel Briefing, a news-making change from traditional election year courtesy extended to the nominees for President, first off, would protect the national security of the United States. Here's where the New York Times said Uncle Sam found Top Secret documents at Merde de Lardo:

Keeping Trump un-briefed also makes an excellent media opportunity to showcase Trump as Putin's personal threat to national security before a national audience. Imagine President Biden explaining to the nation how Trump's many intelligence failures -- and how Congress inactions at Trump's behest -- serve Putin?

Charlie Sykes and other panelists echoed the sentiments, stating an assertive President Biden explaining why Trump serving Putin is a threat to the security of the United States of America would make a truly great national storyline -- a pro-Biden story with legs. The story also would contrast dip's record in service of Putin with President Joe Biden's sane, sound leadership and integrity.

Viewers of Nicole's program also enjoyed hearing the audio clip where Trump confesses to stealing Top Secret document, bragging about illegally possessing classified materials with Mark Meadows and his "autobiographers." Video from today's MSNBC show hasn't been posted, but the following from CNN includes the section.

Benedict Donald actually admitted on the tape he was not allowed to possess the documents and could not de-classify them as ex-president. What say you? How great would that be for President Biden to talk about all the time on the tee vee?

Former congressional candidate endorsed by Trump surrenders for murder

The Independent, March 7, 2023

Daniel Rodimer, a former wrestler who ran for a Republican congressional seat in 2020, surrendered himself to authorities in Nevada on Wednesday evening after an arrest warrant sought him out on an open murder charge.

Mr Rodimer, 45, turned himself into the Clark County Detention Center hours after the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMP) identified him as a suspect in the murder of 47-year-old Christopher Tapp.

A uthorities say Tapp was found suffering from injuries inside a hotel room on the Las Vegas Strip in October 2023. He was transported to the hospital but later pronounced deceased. Initially, officials believed his injuries were a result of an accident.

At the time, former president Donald Trump endorsed Mr Rodimer, once saying at a rally, “Dan Rodimer, we’re with you all the way, Dan.”

Nosferatu Stephen Miller Volunteers as "NARA Expert" to Help Judge I. Lean Bannon

Stephen Miller's legal group seeks Mar-a-Lago judge's permission to float 'unlawful abuse of executive authority' claim about National Archives

Story by Matt Naham •
Law & Crime, March 1, 2024

A legal group headed by former Trump White House senior advisor Stephen Miller asked the judge in the Mar-a-Lago prosecution on Friday for permission to participate in the case as an amicus curiae, or friend of the court, claiming its “expertise” in the “abuse” of the Presidential Records Act (PRA) by the National Archives (NARA) may be of assistance to the former president.

Noting that the Special Counsel’s Office and Jack Smith expressed no view on the motion, America First Legal Foundation (AFL) stated its goal was to support former President Donald Trump’s bid to throw out the Espionage Act indictment based on the PRA.

Touting its own “scholarship on” and investigations into the “weaponization” of NARA, AFL claims to have “uncovered” proof that NARA committed an “unlawful abuse of executive authority” in cahoots with the Biden White House and the DOJ.

“AFL’s investigations of NARA confirmed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation obtained access to the ’15 Trump boxes’ through a ‘special access request’ from the White House on behalf of the Department of Justice. Because NARA’s action, which AFL uncovered, appeared to be an unlawful abuse of executive authority, AFL requested the Inspectors General of NARA and the Department of Justice to investigate,” the motion said. “Moreover, AFL has published a white paper detailing why—as a matter of constitutional law, the PRA, and historical practice—the President has absolute authority over presidential papers.”

US Supreme Court Obstructing Justice.

The way SCOTUS took on Traitor’s immunity question is a formula for indefinite delay, Prof. Lawrence Tribe said tonight to Lawrence O’Donnell.

Instead of asking: Does immunity cover the felony of stealing an election to stay in office? SCOTUS asks a complex question on a side issue really is “suppressing evidence” from voters who need to know if Trump is guilty or not before casting ballots.

Action opened up a Pandora’s Box to delay for Donald Trump, Tribe said.

Incredible to write, but the Roberts Court is obstructing Justice on behalf of a traitor.

FBI informant charged with lying about Joe and Hunter Biden’s ties to Ukrainian energy company

BY LINDSAY WHITEHURST AND LISA MASCARO
AP, February 16, 2024

WASHINGTON (AP) — An FBI informant has been charged with fabricating a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden, his son Hunter and a Ukrainian energy company, a claim that is central to the Republican impeachment inquiry in Congress.

Alexander Smirnov falsely reported to the FBI in June 2020 that executives associated with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma paid Hunter and Joe Biden $5 million each in 2015 or 2016, prosecutors said in an indictment. Smirnov told his handler that an executive claimed to have hired Hunter Biden to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” according to court documents.

Prosecutors say Smirnov in fact had only routine business dealings with the company in 2017 and made the bribery allegations after he “expressed bias” against Joe Biden while he was a presidential candidate.

Did the FBI’s Charles McGonigal Help Throw the 2016 Election to Trump?

The shocking indictments against the former head of counterintelligence for the FBI in New York raise many dark questions.

By Craig Unger
The National Review, February 1, 2023

In the course of writing two books on Donald Trump’s ties to Russia, the same question occurred to me again and again: How is it possible that I knew all sorts of stuff about Donald Trump, and the FBI didn’t seem to have a clue? Or if they did, why weren’t they doing anything with it?

Specifically, I knew that:

* Starting in 1980, an alleged “spotter agent” for the KGB began cultivating Trump as a new asset for Soviet intelligence.

* The Russian mafia laundered millions of dollars through Donald Trump’s real estate by purchasing condos in all-cash transactions through anonymous corporations that did not disclose real ownership.

* Trump Tower was a home away from home for Vyacheslav Ivankov, one of the most brutal leaders of the Russian mafia, and at least 13 people with known or alleged links to the mafia held the deeds to, lived in, or ran alleged criminal operations out of Trump Tower in New York or other Trump properties.

* Trump was some $4 billion in debt when the Russians came to bail him out via the Bayrock Group, a real estate firm that was largely staffed, owned, and financed by Soviet émigrés who had ties to Russian intelligence and/or organized crime.

Much of my material came from FBI documents. A lot came from open-source databases. It made no sense. There was an astounding amount of data on the public record. The FBI had launched enormous investigations of the Russian mafia in the 1980s. They had staked out a New York electronics store that was a haven for KGB officers. They knew that’s where the Trump Organization bought hundreds of TV sets. They had their eyes on Ivankov and other Russian mobsters who were denizens of Trump’s casinos and bought and sold his condos through shell companies. They had to know that Trump laundered money for and provided a base of operations for the Russian mafia, which was, after all, a de facto state actor tied to Russian intelligence. They had to know that the Russians repeatedly bailed Trump out when he was bankrupt. They had to know that Russia owned him.

Snip…

As FBI director, Freeh had warned that Russian organized crime posed a grave threat to the United States that far transcended mere criminality. It is not clear how much he was paid by Prevezon after he switched sides, but Freeh later bought a $9.38 million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, just a 10-minute drive from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.

Then there was the late James Kallstrom, who ran the FBI’s New York office in the mid-’90s and oversaw successful investigations into both the Italian Mafia and later the Russian mob. Kallstrom had developed close friendships with two key players in the Trump-Russia saga. He worked closely with then–U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Rudy Giuliani in the investigation of the Cosa Nostra network that led to the famed Mafia Commission Trial of 1985–1986. Going even further back, Kallstrom had also been friends with Donald Trump since around 1973, when Kallstrom was putting together a Trump-funded parade in New York to honor Vietnam veterans.

Rudy Giuliani 'may have been compromised' by the Kremlin, and FBI leaders didn't care, alleges special agent Johnathan Buma

* The real story of the FBI and Trumpworld is very different than what many Americans have heard, an FBI special agent told Insider in an exclusive video interview.

* Johnathan Buma says his FBI supervisors didn't care about his leads tying Giuliani to Russian intelligence.

* disclosures to the Senate raise questions about Giuliani and the origins of the Hunter Biden-Burisma story.

The FBI is gradually emerging as the ultimate referee in US politics. FBI agents were the ones to carry out Robert Mueller's Trump-Russia investigation. FBI agents are the ones who showed up with a search warrant at the gates of Mar-a-Lago. Today, FBI agents are doing the pick-and-shovel work of digging into Donald Trump's allegedly criminal actions on January 6. They are also investigating Hunter Biden for the firearm-related charges that he was indicted for this week.

With the FBI holding so many cards, allegations of political bias within the bureau should concern everyone. Insider has now published a video interview with Johnathan Buma, a 14-year special agent working out of the bureau's Los Angeles Field Office. Buma is a counter-intelligence specialist who speaks Russian and holds an active Top Secret security clearance. He first raised the alarm through legally sanctioned whistleblower channels inside the FBI, and he remains employed there to this day.

According to Buma, the real story of the FBI during the Trump and Biden years is very different from the one that's being told in hearings held by the GOP-controlled House of Representatives.

Snip…

1. FBI didn't care about Giuliani's possible Kremlin ties, Buma says

"Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by individuals suspected of being involved in Russian counterintelligence influence operations," Buma told Insider. And within the FBI, he said, "I saw important intelligence information being suppressed."

Buma's concerns about Giuliani, a personal attorney for Trump during his presidency, center on the $300,000 his firm received from Pavel Fuks, a Ukrainian oligarch with close ties to Moscow. (A spokesperson for Fuks has denied that he has ties to the Russian security services.) Fuks traveled to Washington for Trump's 2017 inaugural, and he had previously approached Trump about building a Trump Tower in Moscow. According to Buma's disclosure, an FBI Intelligence Information Report asserted that Fuks was "a co-opted asset of the RIS" or the Russian intelligence services. Fuks's $300,000 payment to Giuliani's firm coincided with trips Giuliani made to Ukraine in order to gather information about Hunter Biden and the Ukrainian energy company Burisma and pressure Ukrainian officials to open an investigation.

Buma says that he raised concerns about Giuliani's possible ties to Russian intelligence to his FBI superiors, and that they simply weren't interested in following up. Not only that, he claims, they eventually prohibited Buma from doing any reporting related to Trump and his circle.

Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens

Published online by Cambridge University Press: 18 September 2014
Martin Gilens and Benjamin I. Page

Abstract

Each of four theoretical traditions in the study of American politics—which can be characterized as theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy, Economic-Elite Domination, and two types of interest-group pluralism, Majoritarian Pluralism and Biased Pluralism—offers different predictions about which sets of actors have how much influence over public policy: average citizens; economic elites; and organized interest groups, mass-based or business-oriented.

SNIP...

Who governs? Who really rules? To what extent is the broad body of U.S. citizens sovereign, semi-sovereign, or largely powerless? These questions have animated much important work in the study of American politics.

While this body of research is rich and variegated, it can loosely be divided into four families of theories: Majoritarian Electoral Democracy, Economic-Elite Domination, and two types of interest-group pluralism—Majoritarian Pluralism, in which the interests of all citizens are more or less equally represented, and Biased Pluralism, in which corporations, business associations, and professional groups predominate. Each of these perspectives makes different predictions about the independent influence upon U.S. policy making of four sets of actors: the Average Citizen or “median voter,” Economic Elites, and Mass-based or Business-oriented Interest Groups or industries.

SNIP...

The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence. Our results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.
