GOP Tom Coleman: The Case for Trump Treason

https://www.thedailybeast.com/its-not-a-liberal-fantasy-to-ask-if-trump-committed-treason

Tom Coleman, former GOP Congressman and current law professor-
"Under the Constitution an individual commits treason if the nation is at war and the person provides aid and comfort to the enemy. This is an impeachable offense, committed by word or deed. It's one that individuals need to start grappling with seriously because it is not some far-fetched liberal fantasy to conclude that Donald Trump may have committed treason."

"John Barron"-- "I'm, I mean Mr. Trump, is really rich!"

Jonathan Greenberg, on reporting for the Forbes 400 (of richest Americans): “In May 1984, an official from the Trump Organization called to tell me how rich Donald J. Trump was."

It was "John Barron." (BTW, what sort of man names his son after his sock puppet?)

Greenberg has tapes (imagine! from 1984!) including one of Roy Cohn. "Trust me!"

Great stuff.
Really, who could possibly vote for this guy? I know, I know, the Trumpettes studiously refuse to read these articles, and when they see/hear the Access Hollywood tape they loyally say, "That doesn't sound like him," even though a moment later someone who LOOKS a whole lot like him walks out of the RV still jabbering in the same voice.
But really. How long can they just ignore all these reports, going back decades?

Another felon in Trumpland-- Trump Official Who Once Went to Prison for Cutting Exs Brake Lines

Trump Official Who Once Went to Prison for Cutting Ex’s Brake Lines Thinks Parkland May Be an FBI/Pedophile Conspiracy
Kevin Sabo, a former Republican Party official and Interior Department civil servant who was appointed to a political role in the department (he’s the acting chief of congressional and legislative affairs for the Bureau of Reclamation)

In 1999, he was convicted in Virginia of attempting to injure his ex-girlfriend by cutting the brake lines on her car with a pair of wire cutters. (The sabotage was successful, but the woman managed to crash the vehicle into a fence without hurting herself or anyone else.)

And he thinks the Parkland kids are an FBI conspiracy.

Seriously, where do they find these people? You would have to look far and wide among resumes to find some guy who cut his girlfriend's brakelines, but they found him!

Speculate: What is Stormy going to reveal about Trump's ... uh, proclivities?

Josh Marshall has been speculating that Stormy will reveal that Trump likes to be, uh, dominated (I think that's what he meant). Does that mean "spanked" or does that mean "dildoed?"

What do you think she's going to reveal about his attributes and predilections?

(Tighty-whiteys, I think she's already mentioned that.)

Barebacking-- refused to use a condom. (the Playboy bunny mentioned that too.)

Reference to Ivanka (ick).

What else? Shape/size of male member?

As silly as this is, we know it's something that could actually have an effect on the base that has ignored everything else.

"Trump? You mean the one in the leather diaper?"

What do you predict?

This is how a president circumvents the Civil Service rules

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/retaliation-against-civil-servants-goes-into-hyperdrive-under-trump

First, purge civil servants you consider "disloyal" by reassigning them (often across the country), putting them in duties they're overqualified for or not qualified for, or just firing them.

This overloads the "Merit Systems Protection Board, but the board currently has just one member and is unable to hear cases until more are confirmed. As of the end of 2017, the board had the longest backlog of cases in its history, topping more than 750. Two men nominated by President Trump to serve on the board are currently awaiting Senate confirmation."

Then change the law so that civil servants-- always protected from political retaliation-- are "at-will" employees who can be fired "at will".
"The Promote Accountability and Government Efficiency (PAGE) Act would classify all new federal hires as “at-will” employees, meaning they could be “removed or suspended, without notice or right to appeal, from service by the head of the agency at which such employee is employed for good cause, bad cause or no cause at all.”

Trump is so incredibly incompetent at governing, but boy, he sure can figure out ways to screw the country.

Josh Marshall - 60 minutes gets salacious... Trump gets submissive?

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/is-the-stormy-story-more-damaging-than-we-thought

"I’m told that in her 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper Daniels suggests that Trump, how to say this, likes it when women aren’t nice to him, treat him in perhaps denigrating ways."

katy Tur and Ari Melber-- most awkward handoffs

What is up with these two? Night after night, Katy Tur does one of those lame but good-natured "handoffs" from her show to his. Ari Melber responds with a cold and/or sarcastic observation. No smile. It's painful to watch. Does he hate her?

They seem like reasonable people, so what's what here?
Maybe Ari is in rebellion against the whole handoff thing. But really, it's unpleasant. Maybe they should just put in a commercial instead.

It's almost impossible to read these quotes and think, "This is our president"-- WSJ interview

Donald Trump's 56 most unforgettable lines from his Wall Street Journal interview

Could Georgia go Democratic?

I heard Stacey Abrams on Pod Save America, and what a thoughtful candidate for governor! She is currently the minority leader in the State House and is well known there. She had good insights on the issues, but also on the distinction between "tactics" and "strategy" -- that "saying we are open to compromise" is a tactic, but "getting to compromise" is not a strategy!
Anyway, I was very impressed with her plans for voter registration. She has a project here=

If she wins, she will be the first African-American woman governor!

Russian contacted Trump after Obama re-elect, offering help

"Kremlin mouthpiece Konstantin Rykov" posted just before the Trump erection, sorry, election, that he'd started working on electing Trump in 2012. (David O Atkins)
https://washingtonmonthly.com/2017/11/24/a-trumprussia-confession-in-plain-sight/

What was our idea with Donald Trump?

For four years and two days .. it was necessary to get to everyone in the brain and grab all possible means of mass perception of reality. Ensure the victory of Donald in the election of the US President. Then create a political alliance between the United States, France, Russia (and a number of other states) and establish a new world order.

Our idea was insane, but realizable.

In order to understand everything for the beginning, it was necessary to “digitize” all possible types of modern man.

Donald decided to invite for this task — the special scientific department of the “Cambridge University.”

British scientists from Cambridge Analytica suggested making 5,000 existing human psychotypes — the “ideal image” of a possible Trump supporter. Then .. put this image back on all psychotypes and thus pick up a universal key to anyone and everyone.

Then it was only necessary to upload this data to information flows and social networks. And we began to look for those who would have coped with this task better than others.

At the very beginning of the brave and romantic [story] was not very much. A pair of hacker groups, civil journalists from WikiLeaks and political strategist Mikhail Kovalev.

The next step was to develop a system for transferring tasks and information, so that no intelligence and NSA could burn it.

This was posted JUST BEFORE the election. Did everyone else see this?
