Facebook is a right wing site.

I’m not on Facebook. Deleted my acct in 2012. There have been discussions and requests here in the recent past about boycotting FB and then some folks will come on and say they will not for reasons of family etc. It has been a controversial request. But we sure wanna boycott any FucksNews personality’s advertisers once that post gets circulated. What gives?

Anybody experiencing weirdness with links on DU?

Second day I am having to touch a link twice to open a thread. (Not fat fingering either. I can see the screen change a bit but the page won’t load till I touch it again). Even the ad pop ups make me hit the x twice.

Also, when I rec I have to touch it twice to get it to work and sometime it counts it like normal and sometimes the counter disappears altogether.

Earlier, I was posting a reply in a thread and I got a problem page telling me I had loaded the post twice. I had only touched “post my reply once”. It would not change so I just backed out of it.

I have logged off DU and restarted my device. No change.

It’s weird.

Edit to add: just completed a jury servixe and had to touch the options twice. Page sort of blinks in a nanosec kinda way but stay put. I touch again and it loads.

Time to change the name of The "White"House

The adjective to describe a most visible structure in our country is unfortunate at best. I personally found it ironic and satisfyingly amusing when the first black man moved in. His family may be the greatest to ever reside there and care for it.

What’s a good name?
Possibly:

The People’s House
President’s Mansion (after most states gov mansion)

IDK... but it shouldn’t be the “white” house any longer in my opinion!

I just told my boyfriend I am moving out.

It’s over tRump. I’ve been seeing him 2 yrs+ and we tried out the living together (10 months now) but it only showed me he’s not just conservative. He really supports that fucker and admitted it not only a half hour ago.

We are polar opposites on this and neither can be moved. I. Will. Not. Move. On. This.

I am so fucking tolerant of so much. But not this.

Anyway, fuck this sucks. How can a person be so cool and so fucking stupid at the same time? Damnit!

I found a place first. Now the awkward shitshow will begin. Ugh!
