Gov Brown told the state of CA today that "this is the new normal"

When speaking about the unusual fires in the state at this time of year. He has been advocating in the US and Europe to take action to fight pollution and Climate Change since the 70s.

The local weathermen have said to expect extreme highs and lows all Winter throughout the country. It will not end after the Winter. This will be the norm I am afraid. Migration, economic turmoil, diseases, starvation, wars, etc. will be around for centuries as the future generations (if there are any) are left to pay for and defend what our current government is choosing to ignore in order for them to become even more rich while they are alive and they will leave it to their heirs (tax free of course).

I saw him on the local news visiting the burn areas. He voted "No" with regards to the part of the Tax Scam that hurts home and property owners in the blue states that are being attacked by the plan. Maybe he wants to be re-elected enough that he will not be such an evil Repub as he normally is when the House negotiates their newest version of their tax scam.

Smerconish (CNN) seriously thinks Franken didn't actually resign.

He says there is a "political calculation" going on. Why is he leaving in "a few weeks"? He didn't admit any wrong doing/guilt and so is he leaving the door open? He may be waiting to see if Moore wins and using that as a moral comparison to revisit his resignation.

I haven't heard that theory before however part of me had the same uneasy feeling about the "few weeks" time frame which seemed odd to me when I heard it too.

Started evacuations (schools and homes)and road closures. Very dry weather and Santa Ana winds continuing. Water and fire retardants being dropped going non stop to contain it since it is moving west.
