Do you REALLY think his base will ever fall below 25-30% and does it matter?

Most people say NO to both questions for three reasons...
1. His base is "a cult of personality" meaning they elected him because they like his thuggish personality and character and NOT the issues and that will never change.
2. This administration and fake prez do NOT follow the norm and can not be compared to past presidents using the same standards (such as polls). We are in new, unprecedented territory.
3. When you do the math and break down the numbers the amount of votes from his base gives us a limited perspective when elections come around in 2018. About 50% of the US population voted and only 50% voted for him. That is 25% of the population that voted for him and not all of them are his base. We have to focus on the borderline voters and those who didn't vote at all.

Looking at the polls evert other day is not as important as other factors in assessing the current political climate and adjusting our strategies and goals.

When and why did Americans become so apathetic about politics?
