The executive order that Donald Trump signed today is not a solution to the crisis created by his administration; it keeps kids imprisoned indefinitely, and doesn't reunite thousands of separated families. But it does show the administration is reacting to public pressure, so we will continue to increase our pressure for justice at hundreds of events on Saturday, June 30, to say that families belong together.

9:30 PM Just came home from a protest in San Diego.

I found out at 6:00 that there was a "lighting event" tonight at 7:30 from an article I read about "Families Belong Together". It was on a highway overpass and tons of traffic honked and supported us...another rally is downtown on Sat. The woman holding the sign next to me tried to find where the girls are being kept but they do not let anyone in at the Southwest Key Program facilities. She was a nurse for new mothers and wanted to help. It is so frustrating!!!
Everyone RESIST any way you can. I watched Rachel on TV as I headed out the door and was in tears too.

I am serious...where are the girls?

Why can't the media even see them? Not knowing is scaring me. It is almost making me imagine the worst of course. Are they using the boys to spread a "male/gang member/crime" PR impression or is it for their safety? I do not trust the male ICE and Border Patrol people at this point.

The Road to Change kicks off on Friday, June 15 in Chicago, where we’ll be joining the Peace March, led by students from St. Sabina Academy.

From there we are traveling from city to city, with more than 50 planned stops in over 20 states including Iowa, Texas, California, South Carolina, and Connecticut. We’ll also hold a separate Florida tour with more than 25 stops, visiting every congressional district.

We’re going to places where the NRA has bought and paid for politicians who refuse to take simple steps to save our lives — and we’ll be visiting a number of communities that have been affected by gun violence to meet fellow survivors and use our voices to amplify theirs.

At each stop, we’ll register young people to vote and educate them on the reforms we need to save lives, and whether their local elected officials support these reforms or support the NRA.

The Moron said he wouldn't sign the immigration bill

during the impromptu press conference today. Since then he has taken it back and said he misunderstood the question. Huh. Earlier he said he would not sign the moderate GOP bill but maybe the hard core one instead. How many more times will he change his mind on this single, important issue today?
