patty griffin - go wherever you wanna go (live-2013) because this amazing artist doesn't get her due
more people should know of Patty cause she's dope y'all.
as an aside, this song makes me cry ... thinking of my pops I lost awhile back. such a beautiful track.
You get an idea of her influence from her Wiki:
zz top - i'm bad, i'm nationwide (studio-1979) continuing my dusty wake today
Bonus track:
vetiver - to who knows where (2019) some SF-based folk, the nick drake hangs heavy over it
but that's rarely a bad thing
placebo - nancy boy (studio - 1997) serious boundary-pushing androgyny for 1997
Been refreshing my mind on their catalog as it's been awhile since I heard this stuff, and these guys are really pretty badass ...
This is a smoking-good cover of this classic
LEON - surround me (studio-2017) if this classy, sexy come-on doesn't get you in a good mood ...
Then, well ... I hope it's not permanent , cause, something is maybe not be quite right at this moment
This song has a total INXS - Not Enough Time vibe to it ... a song I of course
So, this shirt I ordered on Amazon ... as a guitar nerd I love it, but ...
So the idea here is there's a lot of types of guitars, and they have distinctive sounds as any guitarist knows ... but then after I got it I started wondering if maybe it's ... I dunno ... somehow flippant/insensitive?
It's not this exact one but it's much like it ... what do you guys think?
sometimes I srsly trip out when I finally discover bands that've been out for a LONG time ...
that I've somehow never even heard of.
I mean, I check out new music more voraciously than anyone I know, apart from 1 friend of mine I've known since HS (we've been bandmates a couple different times).
How I've never heard of this UK band, who've been putting out records for 20 years now, and which plays just the sort of alternative rock tunes I like ... until today ... is blowing my mind, man.
These guys are freaking good ...
