Fortunate as in this area we have so many choices in streams freestone and limestone streams as well to fish. Or even to travel to fish where I grew up in small very small Burg in the Allegheny state forest and then later we moved to the farm Bedford Fulton county A.O. as young teens , and we go back to these two areas at times to fish as well.
Yet we also have streams quite a few choices actually that run through farms as water supply for the herds. And they are great places to fish for trout the main reason is that very few people fish them no pressure none. Yesterday we started fishing the west branch concocheauge up near Doylesburg pa and ended our day fishing west branch of laurel run in Tuscarora state forest.
And in between these two fantastic fisheries I showed my crew a pasture stream. I haven’t fished in years actually 18 remembers fishing it reason is he asked dad is this the place we saw those copperheads good memory he may have been five.
You know that like I don’t know any other way to explain it the cabbage smell copperheads give off I’ve always taught our kids one eye on ground one where you trying to get to. At that time we were fishing by this old blow down of trees near tree line of this pasture stream , and I smelled that smell of like cabbage sure enough snakes were in the blow down brush.
Anyway we asked the farmer yesterday if we could fish sure go ahead and it was decent. Sixteen who just started hanging out with us over guitar lessons at Dunc pup institute of Music / driver’s education has never been fishing before and she caught a nice size brown trout from the go in this pasture stream.
Even my not so brave Golden pup had great time especially after he realized that the herd of cows were not predators that would murderize him. Although he did keep a close side eye on the Holsteins in the pasture about 200 meters from us you just never know man they may charge us and I’m telling you right now mister if it goes down every Dunc pup for themselves and any survivors will regroup at the 4 runner.
On the way home I showed the crew a house we were gonna buy when we moved to the area from a small town from Cambria county area 26 years ago reason was union outfit I drove for had change operations and i followed the work then to the terminal over in Hagerstown Maryland.
Actually I was looking at it because then I still deer hunted and small game hunted squirrels bunnies and I thought that place be great for dove hunting there was quarry nearby and doves use the stone to help digest I was told once as kid my one uncle told me that don’t know if it’s fact. Yet one place I used to dove hunt had several quarries and water retention ponds and it was good hunting.
Liz was from South joisey originally across from Philly Walt Whitman where it’s all paved ,and her words no absolutely on buying that house in the sticks. So we bought the home which we still live in close to Gettysburg area. I told 19 slow down see that old stone house that’s the house I wanted.

And I don’t give one shit if they have seen Bigfoot in Tuscarora state forest she actually said that because jokingly I brought it up as a good reason on buying that house on my VA bill option.
You know I’d joke with her all the time and I remember responding to her in my Christopher walken impersonation, fine will move to apple country, and I am going on a gut feeling a hunch my dear that Bigfoot’s prefer chasing down deers for food instead of picking apples. I do think there is something to Bigfoot all these sightings can’t be bull shit although I’ve never seen any.
It was great day we packed sandwiches peanut butter straight for Dunc. Sixteen had blast fishing although drivers ed yesterday stunk she’s really really tiny hobbit tiny and she had troubles in driving 4 runner seeing out window to reaching the pedals comfortably so 19 took over as driver.
She does ok in Mazda 6 and especially the work commute Corolla, I tell her Toyota Corolla built for hobbits. And Dunc totally into sixteen he loves her leans into her in backseat of 4 runner rests his muzzle on her yea total Dunc Gollum vibe my precious.

Went bed 23:30 was wide awake 01:15 decided to do laundry cleaned kitchen ran the dishwasher. As Vets we all served with some real interesting people I do not look at my time in military as defining moment of my life it was all peace time and even then I just didn’t take shit that seriously. Wouldn’t you know it in middle night the one range NCO somehow knew it was me that passed gas next thing I’m getting dragged by my B.D.U. Collar or maybe my LBE flipped over by range NCO.
Starts Chewing my ass in loud whispers under the moonlight of Georgia telling me poking me in the chest with his finger that I just gave it away squad position and in real world the NVA by now would be going through our pockets of our dead bodies.

Personally I would have followed Staff G anywhere anytime even into downtown Fayettenam Fayetteville N.C. on pay day weekend to get Chinese takeout if we caught that on rapid deployment. Yet G had PTSD I doubt it was from Eagle claw or Grenada G hated rats.

So this is where this morning I’m laughing over memories our L.T.who lived on another O.P. came to bother us by deciding maybe spend a day with us.
So anyway LT loses it cuz SSG G just got him another body count scared LT made him jump the 45 going off. So the LT launches into a God dammit SSG what the fuck are you doing us enlisted guys thinking oh this is gonna be good.
SSG G just says to the LT what the fuck does it look like I’m doing Sir as he was standing there in jungle boots and boxers dam I remember that peninsula was hot. I’m killing rodents protecting my men do you want me to explain how filthy these things are this is how the plagues started in Europe.

I met with attorneys yesterday over my wife.
Gave them Elizabeth’s medical records I want these two ladies to look at her records and look at the notes I’ve made. To tell me if they the Doctors were negligent in Liz care and murdered her. What stands out to me. Is I had home healthcare come in to check her out a R.N nurse practitioner the doctors two weeks before she passed and they dismissed her symptoms as just infection put her on antibiotics they never took blood to see what they could find.
About five days later no the antibiotics are not working I called and they prescribed a different antibiotics I said how about coming in on home healthcare to visit her to see for yourself draw some blood or send nurse practitioner.
I was told that I’ll have make appointment so I called that Monday November 7 and earliest home visit was like November 14 I screamed you fuckers are worthless November 14 appointment.
Then by November 11 she was in hospital I called ambulance they found out she was fighting sepsis she passed November 21 at 22:05 got the call she’s gone we were driving to hospital cuz they called at 21:30 she went into cardiac arrest.
I sat down yesterday first with these attorneys who my daughter actually went to law school with the one woman I am comfortable of their political affiliation.
Anymore if I find out anybody voted trump in 2020 after his Covid genocide you and I do not share the same values so to me your fucking evil I’ll cut you break if you voted for orange pig in 2016.
I’ve actually told coworkers we only speak about what needs done at work no chat in locker room before or after shift same with my relatives, and some previous friends were done don’t call don’t send Christmas cards reason my wife died from long term Covid side effects.

I have not gone to well 18 my boy and I have not been to open jam maybe three years so we all went last evening. Sixteen is so shy painfully shy except around us although she was very shy and quiet at first after she started jamming with us after I went in to jam last thanksgiving day before vacation with 18 guitar class.
It’s a nice get together Liz loved to go and listen to her baby boy jam she would just smile and glow watching her baby boy play. I’ve been taking him since he was eleven oh he was so shy as well then. Within a few months he was playing up on stage when they would have stage venue or we just all would sit around and jam.
It’s good time never really to many people attend it’s very fluid in who shows up as we all have other obligations like full time jobs. It’s no booze and bring a covered dish we took my wife’s crab dip last night.
And 16 from now on wants to go back I told her the guy Curtis you were jamming with is one of the best jazz guitarists I’ve ever met you’ll take it all in through osmosis and Kate another player is fantastic delta blues gone electric. Curtis could be a professional guitarist yet sadly as of now he’s a manager of local grocery store. I tell Curt you’re like a Jamaican Django with dread locks 😉 you could be professional.
Sixteen she makes us smile she’s been a bright light a blessing to us especially 19-18 and i. And she is getting tough as in she will give any shit straight back that the boys give her in joking of late is 16 had been sitting with a boy regularly at lunch yea we give her bit static.
So years ago I bought this peavey twin combo 18 watt only reason I bought it was the 2-12 green backs. And I’ll be the first to admit peavey amps get little or no love at all , so I asked my amp building friend his full time job he’s an Electrical engineer.
To give me his magic give me amp with 6v6 the El-84 got to go I need headroom and it’s hard with the 1 to 5 watt Marshall’s we use for home. His version of wired board and now I have 20 watt with power attenuator to go 10 watts also.
Last night 16 took her black star twin we bought used and I just took 2 pedals to tweak on new amp he was bringing Zendrive and a Carl Martin headroom pedal and my friend brought along his version of his blues breaker pedal he builds with my amp.
So I paired them together in chain of three I like it and yes I’ll also take your version of blues breaker pedal on credit because I only have $26 in my pocket at moment you know where I live.
So in closing it was great time the boys are working at grocery store with 16 who just got her first paying job at the local grocery with the boys they pick her up she only has permit. I told them here’s my Visa card bring home a fresh turkey breast you know what make it two hot turkey sandwiches tonight.
49 hours on clock in 4 days , to all my union or former union freight workers that old saying.

Two hour dues monthly great insurance on which example when 18 was born premature bill was hospital bill was close to two hundred thousand paid in full or Elizabeth’s medical bills home healthcare in hospital care paid in full ,also pension and representation.
I remember a dude telling me once as I ate at one my favorite mom pop truck stop Snow shoe diner off I -80 in Pennsylvania he said you are getting ripped off with your union dues he was JB hunt drone truck driver.
I asked what do you pay in health insurance for you and family this was years ago maybe 7-8 years. He told me $115 dollar’s week I said and you got what each family member $2000 deductible and a 60-40 payment on bills. I explained how we were covered then dues were probably combined mileage hourly as road man maybe $50 month for union.

Yet over here at the Big brown turd we are paid hourly even running district and $40 hour no brag it’s public knowledge our contract is online. So anytime after 8 is automatically time half anytime after 40 hours is time half.
I’m on combo bid road and yard tonight I went Queens out Pennsylvania back yard came back and jockeyed for 2 hours why not. Once my boys through College in 4 years and Liz and I did same for our daughters.
You go to instate university we’re gonna pay your tuition no students debt I have same on obligations to do same for 18-19. I have been told slow down retire let kids use the life insurance you passed around to all the children nope doesn’t work that way.
I’m working for their health insurance and to write checks for each semester when they start college in fall then when they graduate the old man gonna retire at around 63.
And if I’m still on the right side of the grass and cashing out my union annuity and taking my monthly defined pension. Then if you need me you’ll be able to find me fishing for trout and taimen in Mongolia Kazakhstan and only fishing trout in Bulgaria and Poland.
Then off to Vietnam to fish and visit your great uncle who retired to Vietnam after fighting in Marine corp 67-68 you’ve seen the pics of the fish they catch in that river up north near Danang. Then possibly a stop in Japan to check out the matsumoku and Kasuga manufactures of great Japanese les Paul’s that in its own will be a religious pilgrimage if you own Japan guitars you know.

I still have FMLA over Liz and now I applied for it when she was sick yearly also reapplied I was off from November to February after she passed.

Anyway for Easter gifts for 18-16 to play and compare I ordered 3 dumble clones all under $55 dollars each these two are building pedal effects board.

At first I bought three online well 18 my computer tech department purchased them with my Visa card for boys and i we already have received those by mail. Yesterday we picked up several more because well 18 significant other wants to go along so she can have my spot with 18-19 at arena.
So now 16 my young kiddo guitar slinger who has become family to us all wants to go as well and so I picked up tickets for our daughter the middle child her spouse and for 16 her mom and i.
She is sweet kid she so reminds me of Mick Michelle our middle daughter at that age I met her at sons high school guitar class jamming with the kids before thanksgiving break. I told them yesterday that your mother Elizabeth and I saw G&R when she was pregnant with you Michelle.
So I laid down few rules no crowding me out if I meet someone the boys started laughing who would wanna date a scrawny ass guy built like a slim Jim with a long ass goatee.
I had to argue my point I replied hey I have all my hair all my teeth I cook clean do laundry seriously fellas you remember your mom , saying stop with the Clorox when cleaning the bathrooms Uncle Sam taught me how to GI a latrine I’m into personal hygiene as well.
Oh yea and I’m gainfully employed as teamster I make huge coin and I’m sitting on 30+ defined pension and an annuity.
Truth is I joke and if Liz was still around I’d pushed her into the arena in her wheelchair and we would have enjoyed this G&R now rocking for those of us close to social security eligibility. I’d probably told my wife ok time to go they’re coming back out to do encore we gotta go and beat traffic and please remind me to clean my cpap mask before bed.
