Was in line this morning grocery store and the cashier told this young lady. That her snap card does not cover clementines I found that odd.

Crazy A I knew him in leg land in west Germany. One solid trooper we served in mech infantry platoon 1986. I heard through grapevine years later after I ETS. Friend who re enlisted stopped to visit me. Crazy A went through Ranger course then SF assessment and the Q’s and was with the teams. I always knew that he had a destiny to serve in that community.
Why not sure like me we just did our own thing. We were tight as friends put up with army stupid just kept our heads low we both had our jump wings EiB caught PCs from Bragg. Just thinking about him this morning not sure as of why. Example of how A operates I think it was Graf a training area west Germany. I was standing with the LT and platoon sgt, maybe early morning and A comes walking past us with 50 cal ammo cans. He stops puts down his cans grabs the LT and kisses him on Kevlar helmet. picks up his ammo and never says word heads to his 113. Lt was like what the fuck was that we laughed, I said LT he must like you he never kissed our old LT he was a asshole.
Another example of serving with A one night we need a patrol. Some FTX the brits were playing the Warsaw Pact, and the LT is telling me take my squad of 5 guys yea we were undermanned check out this ridge and sweep through this small village. So we get outside the perimeter and I stop my friends I said look let’s just bag the ridge cuz we know the brits are there we heard there mech moving in. Will call in fake reports and head straight to the village drink some beers find a guesthouse or pub.
We always carried deutsch cash or dollars. So we all agreed beer over patrol so we end up in this pub tossing them back A would take the radio prc 77 out once in awhile give sit rep. And we had this hard charging pvt first duty station he said were supposed to be checking out the town I said go ahead it was night time go earn your cash. At least four of us were enjoying the self made R&R that I made for us. This hard charger comes flying back into the pub excited man armor British armor coming up the road from the south. We step outside to listen cuz we can’t see shit snowing dark sure as shit they’re on the move. A radios it in we get a reply hide and observe and report we smiled at each other and we went back to drinking beers. But crazy A i always knew was on a course to be high speed trooper.

She is taking blood thinning medicine and just to be sure she has to see a cardiologist tomorrow just to check it I guess. We went for Mexican yesterday for lunch after imagining appointment. I ended up taking my fajitas home as I loaded up on Spanish rice. And we got our sons take out and the chocolate dog was drooling for Mexican food as his boys ate.
Then about three hours later the boys were asking dad you want your fajitas no go ahead guys chow down. And the chocolate land shark was mooching again, kids I love Mexican food this rule of no spicy food for chocolate dogs is ridiculous we live in a democracy.
Then later I went romantic mode on couch with my wife. Our one son was jamming along with skynard and I hollered play The hunt. And my wife will say stop being a weirdo as I hold her close and lick her ears she is laughing. I told our sons that is how you meet a lady you go up and lick her ears they just roll their eyes. And my wife replies do not take dating advice from your father.
My wife is on medicine for possible blood clot
I’m up cannot sleep went bed 1130 was up 0200. She is sleeping as the boys are as well, had quite a bit of coffee lifted weights on back porch checked on my wife and our sons few times. I feel helpless drifting with her with this she is cool a very strong woman she is handling it much better than I am. Me I’m just stressing thinking worried I love her she is my world. Cleaned downstairs bathroom and kitchen , got load of wash done.
Poor cat he is 15 years old Maine coon he was on my lap and I noticed he had clumps so I cut his clumps out his fur. He has taken off to hide no I don’t need a hair cut man. Should be on my way to New England but dropped off wheel we have lab work today and testing. We just told our sons mom has test to be done don’t wanna stress them out our daughters their grown we told them.
Just went upstairs to get our guys up for eighth grade ,saw the cat he took off down the hall leave me alone mister your on caffeine and you had scissors I love that cat.
Should have joined union clown
At diner listening to a fellow truck driver bitch. Because he has been denied ssi disability so now he is gonna get attorney to apply. Now here is a guy who hates organized union trucking he would try and trash the union, I’d mention you paying what 125$ week for shit health care high deductible and a 2% match on a 401k. And I pay only union dues 2 hours wages a month for health care and pension defined pension and annuity pension. You guys make to much cash he would cry, I’d reply you on same plantation as me my labor isn’t cheap I like working under union card.
So this morning at 61 he is crying to me how it’s not fair to be denied. I just replied you had chance years ago to work union and you said fuck that. I said you would have had around 15 years by now oh well I don’t wanna hear your victim pity act.
Boys looking like dogs of war Tax payers still getting our moneys worth army issued
WTF teb another ramble hey I been awake drinking coffee. And I find humor in life our sons have discovered old TA-50 in garage that I discharged with 31 years ago. One boy is wearing old fatigue jacket jump wings EIB on it 82nd patch and last name tag on it. The other son is wearing brown button sweater we wore under BDU top. And carrying gym clothes in old green laundry bags.
So I have to ask hey we bought you guys nice gym bags and nice long sleeve shirts. What’s up with the mercenaries look. Answer a shrug of the shoulders and it’s cool dad. So I said you guys go get web gear we can use ammo pouches to pack bologna and cheese sandwiches.
Coil tap PRs nails it
Sitting here listening to our son jam red house and earlier wind cries mary. On our 98 McCarty,prs makes awesome guitars. But they also cornered it on coil tap, when you want the humbucker tone you reach for tokai Les Paul around here. And single coil Japan strats we have, I coil tapped our navigator Les Paul but then reversed it. Went the jimmy page diagram off internet but it sounded thin.
But Paul reed smith has engineered amazing pickups and pots wiring over years. They just do it well with their guitars quality and tone.

I’m up having coffee I checked in on the boys. As they slept and I covered them both up, they are rough on a bed like me kicking covers off. Our one son has I think his grandfathers dna my wife’s father that guy was six foot five inches and our foster son his father is I think six seven. He will be officially ours as adoption will be final soon like a month. But I think they both will fill out as well compared to dad Im six foot lanky in build.
They give me a run for my money yesterday I was getting out shower walking through the kitchen, as the boys were ravaging the sausages and pirogies I got a comment look at that chicken chest on dad. In family room I told em both to March their behinds back out to kitchen and add broccoli to their sausage and Mac and cheese. That started it as they both grabbed me and commenced to thumping me in playing. Im thinking wow I’m having hard time here defending myself.
After they got that out of their system taking on dad. They went and got broccoli and then demolished a pumpkin pie and vanilla ice cream for desert. This morning I smiled covering them up puberty has hit hairy toes and legs. Their both around five nine in eighth grade we upgraded ,From single to twin mattresses for the boys.
A Ramble Remember those in prison I try to be Christ like
Not sure where in bible it’s mentioned a few times in bible. If I remember psalms and Hebrews , so anyway I’m on way into terminal this morning. And the four lane highway i traveled to freight terminal I saw men cutting grass those men were state prisoners.
So on my way home from my job I stopped at sheetz convince store to get milk for our sons and gas. And sitting in car I was like ok so I went back inside and bought payday candy bars Hershey bars couple pack cigarettes. And as I went by the prison workers van with guard sitting in it with portable toilet after I passed guard van ,I tossed candy bars and cigarettes out into medium strip they were working.
I don’t know what or why I just feel empathy compassion at 52 always been that way. I grew up white trash in Appalachia, over years pulled off being airborne infantry a teamster truck driver. My most amazing achievement is being a father and husband married 32 years to a lovely woman who has given us five awesome children.
But what I’m trying to say I do identify with the less fortunate

My wife purchased it for me as gift , she ordered one as well. It reads( Me too your are not alone you are not to blame we believe you. ) so at foreign freight terminal and I got looks from some of my fellow teamsters their looking trying to read it.

I said young man I’m 52 years old been teamster 31 years if you gonna survive around here 1 learn to mind your own business and 2 you better toughen up and not look hurt when someone addresses you as a fuck head. I headed to dispatch to turn my freight bills in get my trailers I need to take home. And their not hooked so I’m sitting waiting on the clock.
