Ambassador to Mex quits amid strained ties




Joseph Yun, special representative on North Korea, resigned earlier this week, and John Feeley, the U.S. ambassador to Panama, announced his decision to leave in January. Feeley said he could no longer advocate for U.S. policy in the Trump administration.

In December, Elizabeth Shackelford, a rising star at the State Department, issued a scathing resignation letter, accusing Tillerson and President Trump of undercutting U.S. influence around the world. She said they had abandoned human rights as a priority and shown disdain for diplomacy.
