Jack Russell terrier cross advice needed

We adopted a one year old JRT X two weeks ago and we love her. She's a rescue stray, so we don't know what happened to her before she got to us. Lucy is great fun, a character and really friendly to any human she has met.

Usually she goes on her back with all 4 legs in the air for a belly rub, which is fine, but in the last week she has started little nips on our hands. I'm not sure why she has started doing this, but I'd to try stop it now before it becomes worse.

Also, she's generally fine with other dogs but again, some dogs she'll go into a rage at and she's almost standing on her hind legs as we strain to hold onto her lead. There's no talking to her when she's like that.

When next doors cat was in our backyard, as he usually does, she went after him. He ran out via an old tree stump, and she'd have followed but it was just to high for her, thankfully. But still goes over to that spot as soon as she goes out the back.

She's fantastic but I'd appreciate any feedback to help us.

Brexit : Boris Johnson is an incompetent kidnapper trying to keep

Ireland hostage....by David McWilliams

We'll worth a read of the full article.

Brexit saga has become a bizarre hostage situation: Boris Johnson is the kidnapper, the ransom is the backstop and Ireland is the hostage. Johnson is demanding the EU drop the backstop or he will shoot the hostage. We’ve been here before. Traditionally, the mantra has been: “We never negotiate with terrorists.” Let’s see what happens.

We all appreciate the notion that if we reward bad behaviour, a kidnapper will resort to intimidation again. The European Union has a choice to make. Ireland will survive this. It might well be convulsive but the economy is strong enough, just. And then what?

When you think about it, the “no-deal” option is only “no deal for now”. No deal is not a long-term option; ultimately, the United Kingdom will have to do a trade deal with the EU. The facts are pretty straightforward – 47 per cent of all UK exports go to the EU and, in turn, 52 per cent of all UK imports come from the EU. No matter how the hostage drama turns out, no matter what the political and economic fallout, the UK will be back at the table very soon. The more chaos at British ports, the shorter the self-imposed mercantile lockout.

Perhaps the EU should sit tight and play the long game? Once he shoots the hostage, all his negotiating power is gone – and the problem for the kidnapper is that he can only wound the hostage, not kill it. All that will remain is the much diminished UK with its economic reputation in tatters. The damage inflicted on its economy will be much worse than anything inflicted on us and, once the dust settles, investors will consider which location is more attractive – the one with open access to the EU or the one with trade barriers, tariffs and red tape that has locked itself out of a market with which it still does half its trade.

Kamala Harris needs to get her sh!t together on Healthcare, otherwise it will badly damage her.

I think she made a fundamental error in jumping in to mark Bernie, day one, by going for Medicare for All, and then has spent from then until now trying to backtrack. Sort it out, properly.

Right now, I think the 3 candidates who will be there at the end are Biden, Warren and, if she sorts herself out, Harris.

Johnson Cabinet A Who's Who Of Amoral & Incompetent Bastards

CLEARLY not happy with the current pace of the disintegration of the United Kingdom, newly installed prime minister Boris Johnson quickly went about promoting to his cabinet those individuals most capable of hastily accelerating the process of its demise. With Priti Patel, Michael Gove, Dominic Raab, Jacob Rees Mogg and Gavin Williamson all earning a spot in Johnson’s cabinet, it is a veritable smorgasbord of amoral fantasists with the collective brainpower of a battery powered egg.

SNIP

Those who doubted Johnson’s ability to elevate only the most undeserving, self-serving and morally hollow people to cabinet admitted their error as they surveyed some of his appointments.

Priti Patel is most famous for advocating the death penalty, being fired as a minister after attempting to conduct back door deals with the Israeli government and suggesting threatening Ireland with starvation during Brexit negotiations, Dominic Raab had admitted to not understanding the concept of trade and the sea during his time as Brexit Minister.

Jacob Rees Mogg is homophobic and a haunted painting, Michael Gove called the Good Friday Agreement a ‘moral stain’ and compared it to appeasing the Nazis, also broke the law during EU Referendum as co-chair of the Leave campaign, Grant Scapps a lied about having second job whilst being an MP and practising business under a pseudonym.

SNIP

While vacancies in the positions of Minister for Casual Racism, Minister for Economic Disaster and Minister for Creeping Toward the Far Right have yet to be filled, many political commentators are suggesting Johnson’s new cabinet heralds a golden age for amoral and incompetent bastards.

Why hasn't Trump gone after Geoffrey Berman ?

As Head of the SDNY, he is recused by the DOJ

Chief Manhattan federal prosecutor and Trump administration appointee Geoffrey Berman, whose office oversees a federal inquiry into President Trump's longtime personal lawyer, was recused from the investigation before FBI agents raided Michael Cohen's offices and home, a person familiar with the matter said Tuesday.

Berman, named in January as an interim replacement to fill the post formerly held by Preet Bharara, whom Trump dismissed last year, was recused by Justice Department officials under Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, said the source, who was not authorized to comment publicly.

Stephen Ryan, Cohen's attorney, said the raid in New York was prompted by a referral from Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller, who determined that the information related to the attorney did not fall within the direct scope of his investigation into Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 election.

Rosenstein directly oversees Mueller's work and manages how such referrals are directed for further investigation.

The source said Berman played no role in the decision to carry out the search of Cohen's New York office and home, where authorities were in part pursuing information related to an alleged hush money payment of $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 election.

Upon President Donald Trump's firing Preet Bharara as U.S. Attorney, Trump reportedly interviewed Berman among other candidates for the position.[18] Berman had performed some part-time volunteer work for the Trump transition.[19] On January 3, 2018, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Berman's appointment as U.S. Attorney, along with sixteen other former prosecutors, to serve in various offices around the country on an interim basis until the Senate can permanently confirm them.[20][21] The Trump Administration never nominated Berman or most of the other interim appointments. On April 25, 2018, the Chief Judge of the Southern District of New York entered an order formally on behalf of a unanimous court appointing Berman United States Attorney pursuant to its authority under 28 U.S.C Section 546(d). Berman has the appointment indefinitely, until an individual nominated by the President is confirmed by the Senate, or he is dismissed from the position by the President.[4]

In April 2018, the office of Berman issued a search warrant of the office and hotel room of Michael Cohen, former lawyer of Donald Trump, for possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations.[22][23][24] Since Berman is recused by the U.S. Attorney General's Office from the investigation, he was apparently not involved in the decision to raid Cohen's office.[25] That search was presumably conducted under the authority of Robert Khuzami, Berman’s top deputy.[26]

Alcock and Brown fly across the Atlantic - 100 years ago today.

https://alcockandbrown100.com/

11-16 JUNE, 2019
CLIFDEN, CONNEMARA, CO. GALWAY, IRELAND

:large

This is the plane Alcock and Brown used to complete the first non-stop transatlantic flight, landing in Clifden at 8:40 a.m. 100 years ago today....

They were flying into darkness. The pilot, John “Jack” Alcock, normally so brash, bold and cheerful, stared forward at the cloud now obscuring their aircraft’s wingtips.

Crammed beside him on the wooden seat of their Vickers Vimy biplane, navigator Arthur “Teddy” Brown was silent.

The dense cloud surrounding them meant he could get no readings. They were, to a large extent, flying blind.

Dawn broke, the morning of 15 June, 1919, and the wind picked up, throwing their plane about as Alcock fought to keep it level. Suddenly, the engines shuddered and the plane stalled.

SNIP

People, some still in their pyjamas, ran towards them and found Alcock sitting in the cockpit throwing out its contents and asking, “Who’ll have an orange, direct from Newfoundland? Who’ll have some cigarettes?”

“Anybody hurt?” somebody asked the airmen. “No.” Brown had a bloody nose and mouth but nothing worse.

“Where are you from?” said another. “America,” Alcock replied. The crowd laughed, refusing to believe it.

Starbucks Founder Howard Schultz Suspends Campaign to Become President and CEO of America

Now, let’s all forget that Howard Schultz ever wanted to be president
It looks like Starbucks founder, former CEO and “person of means” Howard Schultz may no longer be running for president. Just four months after declaring to 60 Minutes that he would be the best CEO of America™, Schultz has let go most of his campaign team, telling staff that he would not be campaigning during the summer. Schultz is currently recovering from back surgery .

Schultz’s run for president caused much consternation among Democrats: his attempt to run as a centrist candidate never polled particularly well, although he potentially would have diverted enough votes to allow Trump to win a second term as President. (Like any good billionaire, Schultz ignored this well-documented public opinion in favor of his own ego.) His campaign isn’t officially dead yet — he will reportedly make a final decision sometime after Labor Day. But fortunately, Schultz’s body is on Team America: it seems he’ll be recovering for long enough for everybody to forget that he was ever a contender. Yep, the Mueller Report wasn’t enough to bring down Trump, yet it seems that a coffee magnate’s back pain might be the magic bullet, and America can collectively yell “bye bitch!” in the direction of this bland totem of corporate America.
